​And so it all began! Shaken Udder was born as a top-notch event based brand bringing fresh, tasty milkshakes to festival goers across the country. The pair travelled far and wide serving thousands of fresh creamy shakes. On tour, Shaken Udder’s fan base grew and people started asking where they could get their milkshake fix all year round!

​In search of a place for their funky cow brand, the pair took a look at the retail shelves & were disappointed with what they found. Marvellous milk was being ruined by ingredients such as modified maize starch, e-numbers and artificial ingredients. The pair decided milk deserved better and set about creating Britain’s best milkshake!

​It took a long time to perfect the recipes and there were massive hurdles to overcome. After 18 months of searching for a producer, Jodie & Howie decided to build their own dairy, and by summer 2008 the funky cow hit the shelves of Harvey Nichols.

Jodie & Howie met at agricultural university, both sharing a passion for music festivals & the great outdoors. ​Whilst dancing away at V festival, Howie had a sudden craving for a fab, fresh milkshake. He closed his eyes, visualized a rather funky cow, loads of fresh fruit, great chunks of chocolate and lashing of fresh milk. He called Jodie (a self-confessed milk addict) to tell her about his idea. Soon after, they found themselves in Howie’s mums kitchen, with a blender, 100’s of ingredients, gallons of milk and ice cream! Hours later, full but smiling, the pair had a list of fab flavours and a company name, Shaken Udder.

​2011 was an exciting year for Shaken Udder. Howie and Jodie got married in April on the same day as Kate and Will’s (they were engaged for 3 years but had to spend their wedding fund on a new labeling machine!). They also continued spreading the milkshake love far and wide at summer festivals throughout the UK. And as if that wasn’t enough excitement, in the same year Tesco launched the full range into over 400 stores!

​Harvey Nichols was just the start. Over the next few years and with a lot of hard work, the brand hit the shelves of Waitrose, Booths, Selfridges, Harrods, Whole Foods Market and Fortum and Mason.

​2017…wow, what a crazy year. There’s literally too much to mention, so here are a few of our highlights so far: We launched our award-winning YogOaty pouches, welcomed the delicious new Strawberries & Clotted Cream bottle to our ever-growing herd and also gave our scrumptious Uber Udder a revamp! Amidst the excitement, our 330ml bottled beauties also hit the shelves of Sainsbury’s, wohooo! Our new YogOaty pouches picked up an award at the World Dairy Innovation Awards 2017 and were listed in Tesco, and as if that wasn’t enough we also launched our biggest ever on-pack competition to date! All this whilst still attending a packed summer schedule of festivals and events.

​What a busy year 2016 was! After years developing the brand and growing their customer base, Shaken Udder launched a new Salted Caramel flavor, blended with the finest salt from The Maldon Salt Company, onto the retail shelves. In addition, to meet people’s demand for more frequent consumption at home, the ‘Uber Udder’ was launched into Waitrose in Chocolush and Vanillalicious flavours. Delicious!

We launched in WHSmith Travel stores as well as Boots where our bottle beauties are also part of their meal deal! And, for the first time in Shaken Udder history, we took to the skies with the launch of our brand new 330ml Chocolush carton on Easy Jet flights!
